Ivoryton Playhouse is located in Ivoryton, a beautiful section of historic Essex, on the banks of the Connecticut River.  We can be found right off Route 9.  Click here for directions.

How many people can the theatre hold?
The capacity of the theatre is 274.

Is there parking?
Limited free, street parking is available around the Playhouse.  Ample parking is available in the lot across the street from the Playhouse but please note that this parking lot is not owned by the Playhouse and the owner charges $8 per car for parking.  The Playhouse does not benefit from this charge for parking.

How do I get tickets?
Secure your seats by calling the box office on 860.767.7318.  You can also book online by following this link.

Please do not buy tickets from third party sites such as gotickets.com, ticketsales.com or buytickets.com. These third party sellers are changing double the price of tickets sold by Ivoryton Playhouse and we cannot refund tickets purchased from these sites.

Please note that Ivoryton Playhouse does not have an elevator.  If you are limited in mobility or in a wheelchair, please do not book balcony tickets.

Ticket prices for 1776 and Come From Away are $65 adult and $60 senior (plus fees).

Ticket prices for all other shows: $60 adult / $55 senior / $25 students of all ages

Is there heating and air conditioning?
The theatre is very comfortable with air-conditioning in the summer and heating in the fall.

Does the Playhouse offer hearing assisted devices for those who find it difficult to hear?
Yes, we are delighted to announced that hearing assisted devices are available at the box office.  Simply ask for a headset and turn on the device to enjoy enhanced speech, music and sound effects.
