October 23, 2026:  We are so delighted that the building has started on the new Sally and George Mayer Rehearsal Studio.  What a wonderful project for the Playhouse.  We hope that Show 1 of our 2027 season will be the first to rehearse in this new facility!

On Thursday, January 15th, we publicly launched our Capital Campaign, Act II: A New Creative Space, and broke ground on Phase One of a new rehearsal studio and storage facility—The Sally and George Mayer Rehearsal Studio. With critical support from the State of Connecticut and generous community donors, we were thrilled to celebrate with our board, early donors, community partners, and state leaders, including Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Sen. Norm Needleman, and Rep. Renee LaMark Muir. A big step forward—and it’s only the beginning! If this is your first time hearing about Act II, we invite you to explore this page and be part of what comes next.
