2024 Season Subscriptions

Life in the theatre is nothing if not an adventure and this year has been no exception. We went from a spring and summer of poignancy, laughter and music to a fall of unrelenting sickness and canceled performances. If you missed a show because of this, we are deeply sorry and we promise you that we are taking steps to minimize the possibility of this happening next year.

We are so grateful to have the best subscribers around. You keep us going through the good times and the tough times and if there were a Tony award for the best audience – you would win it!

I think we have a really great line up of shows for you next season – lots of music from the Everly Brothers to Jimmy Buffett, from the great songs of the 40’s to the rock ‘n’ roll of the 80’s. And a new play about a children’s book that reminds us that we can’t stop times from changing but maybe we can all learn to change together.

We are keeping our subscription prices the same this year, as a thank you to you, and throughout the year we have some subscriber benefit surprises planned so stay tuned in for more information!

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Playhouse in 2024. Come and say hi so we can thank you in person for your kindness and your support.

Alabama Story
By Kenneth Jones
October 3 – 20, 2024
As the Civil Rights movement is brewing, a controversial children’s book about a black rabbit marrying a white rabbit stirs the passions of a segregationist State Senator and a no-nonsense State Librarian in 1959 Montgomery, Alabama. Political foes, star-crossed lovers, and one feisty children’s author, Garth Williams, famous for his illustrations of E.B. White’s Stuart Little, Charlotte’s Web, and Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie, inhabit the same page in a Deep South of the imagination that brims with humor, heartbreak, and hope.  Inspired by true events.
