Reasons To Be Happy

Join Schuyler Beeman for “Reasons To Be Happy”, an evening of songs, show tunes and standards that remind us that even through turmoil, frustration and fear, there are still moments of joy to be captured. Following his two time sold out run in NYC back in 2012, this version encapsulates Schuyler’s happiness in present times, revisiting the feeling amidst a world where everything screams the opposite.

Come on out for an evening of laughter, joy and yes, happiness.

PERFORMER PROFILE

Schuyler Beeman is a Guilford, CT native having grown up going to see shows at Ivoryton Playhouse for as long as he can remember. Ivoryton has been Schuyler’s home theater for his entire professional thespian career which include his first ever professional show in 2006 (Cabaret) as well as his first professional choreographing opportunity, Finian’s Rainbow. Other favorite roles at Ivoryton include A Chorus Line (Greg), The Producers (Carmen Ghia), “Playhouse On The Shore” (Performer/Choreographer), and I Hate Musicals, The Musical (Choreographer). Nowadays you can see Schuyler out in the fields with his sheep, chickens, geese, ducks and rabbits at his farm, Arbor Farm, or in gardens along the Connecticut Shoreline with his business, Lodestar Gardening, where he maintains and designs perennial beds. Schuyler still gets onstage from time to time with his own concerts and cabarets locally. Many thanks to everyone at Ivoryton for providing him with the confidence to be himself in all ways!
