The Ivoryton Library Association is sponsoring the lighting of the tree with funding provided by First Niagara, Essex Savings Bank, Citizens Bank, Essex Meadows and Richard Riggio & Sons and the Jolly Red Trolley.

The Angel on Top of the Tree Gives Readers A Bright Christmas!

Come to Essex Books for a meet and greet and book signing by Author Leesan Villa at 5:00pm, Saturday, December 1 during the Ivoryton Illuminations.

In her first book, The Angel on Top of the Tree, author Leesan Villa tells a tale that will lure children as well as adults with a heartwarming Christmas story about reflection that is a perfect read any time of year.

The Angel on Top of the Tree is a book is about a Christmas tree topper that comes to life!  The Angel on Top of the Tree spreads her light year after year while sharing in the family’s annual Christmas celebrations.  Through the years the Angel watches as a young couple decorates their first Christmas tree, welcomes new additions to the family as well as moving into a new home.  Rich with beautiful and vibrant illustrations by Barbara Haeger, The Angel on Top of the Tree will touch readers in a way that no other Christmas book will.  While the Angel checks in with her family year after year it will encourage readers to reflect on the changes that have taken place in their own lives and to look forward to the new memories to come!

About the Author
Leesan Villa was born and raised in New York City where she met her husband of 13 years. Leesan spent nine years working in Finance and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She currently resides in Branford, CT. and is working full-time raising her four beautiful children.
