2012 Summer Internship
The Ivoryton Playhouse Foundation is a historic, not for profit, 280-seat, professional theatre located on the Connecticut Shoreline. The Playhouse operates a year-round season, which includes a Seven-Play Subscription Series, a Special Events Series, and a Summer Children’s Theatre Series.

A summer internship at the Ivoryton Playhouse offers current undergraduate students and recent college graduates an exciting and intensive opportunity geared towards expanding and developing production skills, making professional contacts, and developing the insight and experience necessary to pursue a career in theatre.
Production interns will work side by side with the Staff in all areas of production.
Opportunities will include assisting with set construction, hang and focus, wiring practicals and special effects, prop acquisition and construction, costume acquisition and fittings, wardrobe, production management, stage management, one-week changeovers, building maintenance, children’s theatre, and running shows.

Depending on an intern’s experience and interest, there are also opportunities to serve as an acting, sound, wardrobe, electrics, scenic, or office intern.
Internships run from May to September.
