Founded in 1990, the CCC is a statewide organization
of reviewers, feature writers, columnists, and broadcasters. Members of
the Connecticut Critics Circle not only represent newspapers, but
newspaper chains, magazines, radio programs, websites, and other media
outlets, reaching millions throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode
Island, and New York. The Connecticut Critics Circle was instituted to
honor the actors, directors, designers and others who help make
professional Connecticut
theater so outstanding.
“We are very grateful to the CCC for this prestigious
award,” said Hubbard. “We are tremendously proud of the directors, casts
and crew of all of our productions who have worked so hard to build an
exciting and challenging season at Ivoryton. We are encouraged and
motivated by the CCC to carry on the seventy eight year old tradition of
great theatre for everyone at the Ivoryton Playhouse.”
